Yesterday we popped down to Ravensbourne College to be a part of Ogilvy Labs Day (Connecting the Connected), where we exhibited our new products; Moodsense and Uplifted.

The event was focused around the ‘internet of things’, which is a subject very close to our hearts. In layman’s terms it generally relates to connecting physical devices to the internet. A great example of this would be Nest who have turned the dull thermostat into a thing of beauty and interconnectivity, whereby you can adjust the temperature of your house through your smartphone.

We were among 20 or so vibrant companies exhibiting our interconnected products. Oleg, Shaz and I were showcasing Moodsense and Uplifted.

Moodsense is an emotion recognition SDK which developers can use to build into their applications, allowing for easy detection of their users mood and emotions. We think this has a vast number of potential use cases.

One such use case is our other product Uplifted. Uplifted uses the power of Moodsense to enable people to track their mood, for example when they are happy, sad, engaged, tired, distracted etc. We utilise the webcam on your laptop/computer to track points on the face which we map to translate your mood. This can be incredibly beneficial for entrepreneurs, corporate employees and generally anyone who spends most of their time in front of a computer. It helps them keep the stress levels down and provides mood lifting tips and tricks throughout the day.

The feedback we received at the event was amazing, and we gained a lot of great insight into improving our products further.

If you are interested in hearing a little more about the power of Moodsense, we’d love to arrange a discovery meeting and help you understand it’s potential.

A big thank you to Ogilvy Labs for inviting us down and we will hopefully head down again next year.
